To Be A King (Live) - Hope & Tim Glenn

here’s to weekends!
sunshine, sundresses, walks downtown, good music, cold beer, great friends.

I’ve been MIA for the last few weeks. We played a really fun show opening for Jason Isbell at The State Room, our favorite venue in Utah. Playing there was a really great experience, and Jason’s set reached into my soul and made my Southern roots tingle.  So good. (We’re headed back there to catch the Alabama Shakes tomorrow night. I might drown in this lady’s voice.)
Then came a black hole of sickness that is only worth mentioning once, followed by the January sunshine that is Sundance. Tim did a great write-up of the movies we saw here. I missed The Other Dream Team, but I happily replaced it with Liberal Arts, another Josh Radner *cough*dreamboat*cough* vehicle that did not disappoint.  If you haven’t already, check out HappyThankYouMorePlease.
I could pretend like life has been really exciting otherwise as well, but who am I kidding? It’s winter, and it’s cold. I’ve been wearing a lot of sweat pants, eating a lot of soup, reading some, and watching a whole lot of “How I Met Your Mother.”

Admittedly, I wasn’t the happiest of campers on this shoot. It was freezing cold, up a remote canyon, outside of an old mining town in Ophir, Utah. I lost feeling in my fingers and toes. I ruined my dress and my shoes fighting rocks and brambles, but dang, I am so happy with how well it turned out!

We’re gearing up to open for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit in a couple weeks, and we are pumped!

I hope y’all had a happy Christmas and/or Hanukah.  I’m turning 30 tomorrow, so our celebrations will continue into the new year.  Wishing you all love in it’s most sincere form.
