even the birds
after serious consideration of various vacation book recommendations, i decided my trip book would be steig larsson’s the girl with the dragon tattoo. i haven’t read much modern literature that has been translated into english, so even though it was a good read - period, i enjoyed finding the little moments that i’m sure had been lost in translation.
rachel has been recommending this book to me for a while now, and i’m so glad i finally got around to it. though there were definitely some rough sexual scenes (much of the book has to do with sexual assault), it was a fantastic murder mystery through and through.
i’m looking forward to the next two books in the series, but i unexpectedly got caught up in a celebrity autobiography. {gasp} it’s my first, and i’m getting a lot more out of it than expected. who’d of thunk i’d be able to learn so much from portia de rossi? more on that later…
