we have had such a great response to our album from folks around the world (!). thanks to all of you who listened, “liked”, downloaded, shared and even paid actual money for the thing. we are humbled, and encouraged, and grateful, and we wish we could give everyone a big hug and sing each of you a special song.

i’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of success lately. we are at a point in our lives when being proactive is key. sink or swim. success takes work, and it has been quite the ride so far. with all of the job applications tim has submitted (and believe me, there have been a lot), we have had to imagine what our lives might look like in the most random areas of the country; from small-town, kentucky, to middle-of-nowhere west texas, to most recently, fairbanks, ALASKA.  while the alaskan frontier doesn’t necessarily fit into our long-term plan, we’ve had to learn and accept that, if we end up there, it would be just another step in the big-picture journey*.

what an adventure life is! how fun, and scary, and beautiful it has turned out to be.

will amos lee ever tell me my voice is pretty? who knows!
will i be a momma next year?  not sure!
will i be able to get off the teat of “the man” and write for a living? a girl can dream!

i’m continuing to learn each day to find joy in taking each next step in total, blind faith.

*but please, jesus, if you read blogs, we don’t really want to go to alaska.
